Boxcar

Mixed Media, 2006

36" Diameter

Print #2/5

Sold

12x18 Laminated Photograph of "Boxcar" mounted to scrap steel grid. Grid was given to me by  Sal, the owner of Shaw's General Store in Stowe, VT. and is attached to a turn-of-the-century steel foundry pattern. Apparently these were used for casting steel and iron;  this particular pattern is from the Lane Shops in Montpelier - famous for developing the first commercially viable hydroelectric system in the latter half of the nineteenth century.
